Future Film: David Berman on Agentic Filmmaking with Claude

​This Tuesday, David Berman is leading an in-depth live demonstration and Q&A on how he builds agentic filmmaking systems with Claude.

​We’re extremely fortunate to have David in the Future Film community. A force in professional AI filmmaking and one of the sharpest creative technologists in our industry, he recently joined Wieden+Kennedy in a dual role: AI artist on major national campaigns and the agency’s Google Gemini technology liaison, serving as its in-house expert across Google’s full suite of AI tools.

​During the session, David will take us inside Shotloop, an agentic system he built in Claude Code based around rubric ranking. Starting with only a script, Shotloop breaks down a production, develops visual materials and shot lists, and evaluates creative work against continuity and other project requirements. By handling much of the production analysis and initial evaluation, the system allows him to focus on taste, creative direction, and the high-level decisions that shape the work.

​He will also showcase one of the most valuable elements of his Claude workflow: deep prompters. These reusable Agent Skills capture a filmmaker’s knowledge, standards, and creative instincts, turning a simple concept into detailed, model-ready instructions that can be refined as the tools evolve.
