A quiet café on Hong Kong Island. Golden afternoon light. A handful of dogs with wildly different temperaments — and the humans who chose them, or were chosen by them.

​We've spent months thinking about what actually makes two people compatible, and we keep arriving at the same uncomfortable conclusion: the apps have it wrong. Shared values matter less than shared rhythms. And nothing reveals your rhythm faster than the animal you've decided to share your life with.

​So we're trying something. A small experiment, on a Saturday afternoon, in one café — with the room arranged thoughtfully around who you are and who your dog is.

​The Details:

• ​Size: A small group of single dog parents, thoughtfully selected from applications.

• ​The Price: HKD 50 — covers your first specialty drink. All remaining proceeds to Hong Kong Dog Rescue (HKDR) to support local rescue operations and ethical pet care. We'll collect it via Payme/FPS once your registration is approved.

• ​The Venue: A closely guarded secret—a boutique café on HK Island. The exact coordinates will be released to approved ticket holders exactly 48 hours before we meet.

• ​Dog Attendance: Bring them if they're up for it. Bring yourself either way.
