Estate, Tax and Structuring Pitfalls for Swiss Nationals
SSNY Speaker Series
The Swiss Society of New York, in collaboration with Olivier Thevoz of THEVOZ, is kicking off the SSNY Speaker Series. We will meet every first Thursday of the month (date may vary based on holidays) to discuss finance, technology, health and arts.
We are pleased to invite you to our first SSNY Speaker Series event:
Estate, Tax and Structuring Pitfalls for Swiss Nationals
Duration: 1 hour (20min presentation followed by networking drinks)
Overview
Swiss nationals living in the United States while holding assets in Switzerland face complex and often underestimated tax and succession risks. Differences between U.S. and Swiss legal frameworks can lead to unexpected estate tax exposure, ineffective planning structures, and costly outcomes at death.
This seminar provides a practical, case-driven analysis of the most common cross-border pitfalls—and how to anticipate and address them.
Who Should Attend
Swiss nationals established in the United States
Individuals residing in the United States with cross-border assets in Switzerland
Shareholders of Swiss companies living in the United States
