Power Animal Drum Journey & Intuitive Drawing
Join me at Casa da Lua for an intimate evening of drum journeying, reflection, and intuitive drawing — a space to slow down, turn inward, and explore your connection with the animal world.
We’ll begin by opening the space through the four directions, calling in different animal and elemental qualities to support the journey.
I’ll then guide you through a Power Animal drum journey — an inner experience designed to invite connection with a Power Animal and to notice what its presence, qualities, or symbolism might reflect back to you.
After the journey, there will be time to journal while the experience is still fresh, followed by an intuitive drawing session where you’ll be invited to translate what emerged into line, color, shape, symbol, or image.
You do not need to know how to draw, meditate, or have previous experience with drum journeying. This is not an art class, and there is no pressure to create a finished piece. The drawing is simply another way of listening to and integrating the experience.
We’ll finish with a gentle sharing circle, with space to reflect on what emerged, followed by tea and light snacks for anyone who would like to stay a little longer.
This gathering takes place ahead of my upcoming exhibition, In the Presence of Animals, and offers another way of entering one of the central ideas behind my work: what can happen when we slow down, meet an animal with attention, and become curious about what it might reveal to us in return.
The experience includes:

25-minute guided drum journey
Journaling and reflection
Intuitive drawing session
Sharing circle
Tea and light snacks afterward
What to bring:
A journal or notebook and something to write with. All drawing materials will be provided.
Wear comfortable clothing and bring anything that helps you feel relaxed while sitting or lying down.
A note on arrival:
Please arrive on time so you have a few moments to settle in before we begin. Once the opening ceremony starts, we won’t be able to welcome late arrivals, so we can preserve the space and experience for everyone.
