Lo-Fi Oyster Co. and Local Economy Present Tide Tables, Ambient Jazz and Bay Science
“Tide Tables” is a special series presented in collaboration with Lo-Fi Oyster Co. Each event combines ambient jazz with conversations about the Bay water, climate, and food systems.
For this edition, we'll be joined by Dream Crease, the solo project of Marina Aguerre, a Los Angeles producer and multi-instrumentalist known for her work with Teal Pop, Spaceface, and Dumbo Gets Mad. Drawing from otherworldly visions, recurring dream landscapes, and the natural world at her fingertips, Aguerre brings us a new realm of fantasy ambient on her second full length album.
Dream Crease will be joined by landscape architect Karen Verpeet, managing director of the Resilient Landscapes Program at the San Francisco Estuary Institute. SFEI is a wildly interdisciplinary Bay Area institution that's dedicated to advancing "visionary science that empowers people to revitalize nature."
There'll be some light snacks and wine (no oysters, tho)!
