Here’s our lineup for April 19th:

🎶 Music and movement by Briana Williams

📚You Matter by Christian Robinson

In this full, bright, and beautiful picture book, many different perspectives around the world are deftly and empathetically explored—from a pair of bird-watchers to the pigeons they’re feeding. Young readers will be drawn into the luminous illustrations inviting them to engage with the world in a new way and see how everyone is connected, and that everyone matters.

📚We Share This Neighborhood: A Community Book by Dan Saks

This formative board book is an appreciation of neighborhood communities and the many ways in which they help develop empathy, compassion, and collective responsibility. Through a handful of specific yet universal scenarios, set in four different kinds of communities (suburban, urban, rural, and manufactured home), young readers will understand what it means to be a part of a neighborhood community and celebrate how to share with and care for one another.

📚Together by Mona Damluji

In Together, social justice kids book pioneer Innosanto Nagara teams up with poet and activist Mona Damluji for a stunningly tender and pitch-perfect visual feast that juxtaposes individual action with the power of people acting together. Each of the ten free-verse couplets in the poem is spread across four pages of imagery, to make a unique and different kind of board book for young kids to discover with their families.
