​Most people consume local news alone. What happens when they experience it together?

​Join us at the Open Hub Day for a live session by The Beat.

​The Beat is a journalism innovation project exploring how public-interest journalism can remain accessible and democratically relevant in increasingly international cities.

​This is not a panel or a traditional workshop.

​Together, we'll step into a new kind of live audio experience: a reported story on Zurich's housing crisis, based on the work of Tsüri journalist Dominik Fischer, performed and shared in the room like a podcast you don't just listen to, but become part of.

​Then, instead of moving on to the next headline, we'll stay with the story. Participants will exchange perspectives, experiences and questions with people from different backgrounds, professions and life stories.
