Speed Has a Prerequisite, and its Prerequisite Has a Prerequisite
Value is obsessed with speed. But speed is not spontaneous. Thoughtless speed is a traffic jam. Speed’s prerequisite is synchronization.
Often but casually, we already mention synchronization. Alignment. The timing of numerous moving parts. We can’t synchronize the complexity of an infinite number of moving pieces. We must identify a finite number of moving pieces to synchronize. The finite number is not obvious, but it requires simplicity.
So, speed’s prerequisite is synchronization. Synchronization’s prerequisite is simplicity. This session discusses this and its opposites: complexity, infinity, and anxiety.
