About Event

Join the International Rescue Committee (IRC) and UC Berkeley’s Center for Effective Global Action (CEGA) for an intimate happy hour for Bay Area–based cost-effectiveness thought leaders and advocates. Please join us next Wednesday, October 21 from 4-6pm at Two Embarcadero Center (detals to be shared with registered guests the day before the event).

Cost-effectiveness comes up constantly in conversations about aid and philanthropy – but we rarely stop to compare notes on what we actually mean by it, or how we use it to make decisions. This event is a chance to meet the people working on costing and cost-effectiveness from different angles, hear a few concrete examples of cost data in practice, and talk candidly about where the field is—and should!—be going.

What to expect

  • Introductory remarks from Justin Labeille, Senior Director Cost-effectiveness at IRC and Liz Brown, Staff Scientist, Cost-Effectiveness Lab at CEGA.

  • A candid conversation grounded in practical experience

  • Light refreshments

Hope to see you there!
