About Event

You know the moment. Something small happens and you feel the swell start. Jaw tightens. Breath goes shallow. And by the time you notice, you are already three sentences into something you will regret.

Most of us try to think our way out of that moment. It never works. The nervous system does not speak in logic. It speaks in sensation.

This is truest for the ones who hold the most. The founder. The caregiver. The provider. The person everyone relies on, who looks calm on the outside and is running on empty underneath. You have gotten good at overriding the signal. That is exactly what wears the system down.

Join Elisabeth Kristof, MA, Applied Neurology and Somatic Practitioner and co-host of the Apple Top 100 podcast Trauma Rewired, for a 60-minute experiential Wisdom Circle on how to catch the signal early, interrupt the pattern, and come back to yourself.

This is not a lecture. You will practice, and you will understand what is actually driving outcomes and they way you are showing up in the world.

In this session, you will learn to:

  • Assess and reassess your own nervous system. Every nervous system is unique. What regulates another person may dysregulate you. You will learn a simple assessment so you can tell, for yourself, whether a practice is actually moving you in the direction you want.

  • Catch the early signals. The jaw clench. The old injury that starts to ache. The shift in your breath. Your body warns you long before you are in full activation. Most people miss it.

  • Interrupt the response once you are already in it. Real tools at the sensory level, because that is the only level the nervous system listens to. Let the state drive the story, not the story drive the state.

  • Resource yourself back into your own body. Small practices of self-attunement as the doorway back to emotional processing. This is critical after any peak somatic or medicine experience, when leaving the body feels easiest and staying is the whole point.

Why this matters:

The peak experience is not the healing. The integration is. Integration asks you to stay with sensation instead of leaving your body, exactly when leaving feels easiest. Without a nervous system that can hold it, the opening closes. Learning to embody the state, rather than escape it, is how the shift lasts.

Elisabeth will also speak to something we are all feeling right now: the combativeness in the culture, in our feeds, in our friendships. Chronic dysregulation is not a personality trait. It is a nervous system running out of resources. When you understand output, interpretation, and input, you stop taking other people's behavior personally. You start looking at a nervous system.

This is the most important work we are here for. The medicine, breathwork, meditation.... can open the door. Learning to stay in your own body is how you walk through it.

Includes live Q&A and recording access for all registrants.
