Sunday Intermediate Volleyball At Roeland Dome
Welcome to Sunday Volleyball—weekly co-ed indoor 6v6 play!
Whether you're a long-time regular or joining us for the first time, our gym is built for experienced intermediate players looking for fast-paced play, high-energy competition, and a supportive community.
Punctuality: Please arrive by 5:15 PM to check in, warm up, and connect with your court. Sign-ins close at 5:25 PM so announcements, photos, and gameplay can start promptly at 5:30 PM. Please plan to stay through 9 PM for the courtesy of other attendees.
Player Evaluation & Provisional Status:
This gym requires specific intermediate skills and is not an open gym. Because self-assessments vary, all new players attend as Provisional players for 1 to 3 sessions while evaluated by our Player Review Committee.
Qualified Status: Players who consistently meet court standards are cleared for ongoing registrations.
Developing Status: If the committee determines court pace or skill level is below current group standards, you will receive a Developing status. Receiving a Developing rating is a normal outcome of our review process. You will not be eligible to register for Sunday sessions for 6 to 12 months while you build more experience (during that time, any registrations will be canceled and refunded).
Immediate Mid-Session Removal: To protect court quality and player safety, the committee reserves the right to end a provisional player’s session early (with a full refund) if safety standards (e.g., net/centerline violations, collisions) or basic skill expectations are severely unmet.
By registering, all players agree in advance to accept the committee's final determination gracefully and without debate.
Expectations & Court Standards
System Play & Court IQ: Consistent adherence to setter priority (#2 ball), rotational responsibilities, and base defense (wings-up / middle-back).
Transition Footwork: Automatic footwork pulling off the net to the 10-foot line for attack approaches during transition, plus active off-blocker coverage.
Core Mechanics: Reliable platform passing targeted to Zone 2/3, clean hand-setting with minimal spin, controlled attacks, and targeted serving.
Safety & Communication: Proactive, loud callouts on every rally ("Mine!", "Out!", "Help!") and strict body control at the net and centerline.
By registering, you confirm that your regular play consistently meets these mechanical, movement, and positional standards.
Culture & Fair Play: Positive attitudes and supportive play are expected on and off the court. Play hard, support your court, and keep net play safe.
Zero Bench Time: Sign-ups are strictly capped to match court capacity (e.g., 48 players for 4 courts)—you play the entire session with no sitting out.
Refund Policy: Refunds are issued only if:
The event host adjusts or trims the roster, or
You cancel early enough for a replacement player to sign up and pay (minus a $2 processing fee).
Waitlist: If a spot opens up, waitlisted tickets are automatically approved and charged. If your plans change, please log into Luma to withdraw from the waitlist to avoid automatic charges.
