As women, we have been sold every tool in the world except the ones within us. Yoga is an ancient science exceptionally powerful at managing our hormones. We can use it to tune inward and strike a balance between our mind and body. While modern health often emphasises external interventions, this workshop focuses on how breath, movement, and meditation can offer a powerful framework for internal regulation.
The Ancient Science of Vayu & Hormonal Regulation
Central to this practice is the regulation of the Vayus, or the body's internal energies. We focus specifically on the relationship between Apana Vayu (the downward flow responsible for elimination and menstruation) and Prana Vayu (the upward life force). A dysregulation between these energies, such as a weakened Prana Vayu, can manifest physically as hormonal imbalances, often resulting in delayed cycles or excessive periods.
The Practice
In this educational and practical workshop, Myra facilitates movement and breath awareness practices designed to support these hormonal shifts. This methodology provides the necessary framework to navigate each month with physiological insight and clarity.
