Info Session: Futures Literacies in Praxis
FLIP for Educators, Info Session
FLIP for Educators is a 12-week cohort for people who work inside
schools and learning organisations. Teachers, administrators,
counselors, coaches, curriculum designers, instructional leads. Mixed
roles, same room.
Framing: creative recovery as professional renewal. The 12 weeks braid
three threads.
- Artist's Way (Julia Cameron), creative recovery reframed for educator
practice
- Hero's Journey, an arc from status quo to return with an elixir
- Futures Alphabet, seven competencies that drop one per week, then
activate simultaneously
The weekly rhythm, four touchpoints: - Thursday, pre-session drop with theme, companion, and provocation
- Friday or Saturday, one practice from a menu (Morning Pages, Dyad with a colleague, Artist's Date, Artefact from your practice, Education Vision, Community Post, or FLIP Playlist add)
- Sunday, live 2hr session
- Wednesday, mid-week check-in (three words, study buddy hours, practice drop)
Each week has a theme, a companion from the Black Menagerie, and a literacy from the Futures Alphabet. You leave the twelve weeks with a 2032 role description for your future self in education, assembled line by line as you go.
What this info session covers:
- A walk-through of the arc, week by week
- What we ask of you each week, and what you get back
- How mixed roles work in one room
- Q&A on scheduling, cost, and enrollment timelines
