The Rathbones Institute is a fully funded, 24-month training and professional development program run by the UK wealth management firm Rathbones designed to train aspiring investment managers.
Rathbones recognise the value of experience. They are recruiting for a cohort starting in January 2027 of people interested in training in a career in wealth management.
In particular, they are looking for people with these attributes:
A strong professional track record, typically built over 10 or more years.
A demonstrable history of achieving strong results in your previous role(s).
Curiosity about people, financial markets, and the world that shapes them.
Comfortable learning new information and applying it in unfamiliar situations.
Ability to communicate clearly, listen carefully, and show empathy in your interactions with others.
Ability to consider different perspectives, test assumptions and make balanced judgements.
In this session, Leah Jones, who works for the recruitment partner, The Ladder Group, will come and talk to members about the programme, the hours, the salary and the application process.

Leah Jones is the Managing Director of Advisory at Ladder, part of the Unseen Group. She works with global organisations on workforce and talent strategy, with a particular focus on careers, long-term capability, professional mobility, and community impact.
