Krav Maga / self-defense
Krav Maga / self-defense class. Here you'll gain a good understanding of conflict, de-escalation, legal considerations, and close combat basics – so you're not an easy target. The plan is to have four sessions in April, which will help build your confidence in handling simple but common attacks—such as aggression, grabs, or punches–the kind you might encounter in a rough neighborhood or a corporate party that gone wrong. This is our 2nd session – where we'll introduce groin kicks – a highly effective, immediate self-defense equalizer, designed to instantly incapacitate an attacker regardless of their size. If you haven't attended the 1st session, that's okay — you'll be able to keep up just fine.
Classes are open to everyone, ladies and gentlemen alike (18+).
How it's gonna look like?
We'll go straight into games & drills, simulating simple yet realistic threats.
Instructor
Ed (certified Krav Maga instructor).
Requirements
* Wear comfortable sportswear (t-shirt, shorts). Shoes are mandatory this time so that we can practice kicks safely.
* Bring a thick towel, which you'll fold and use as protective padding during training.
* Bring a plastic bottle of water; we'll be using it as a distractor before attack.
Disclaimer
Krav Maga is a full-contact combat system involving striking, grappling, and close-contact work with various training partners. While all sessions are conducted with safety as a priority, the physical nature of this discipline means that incidents or injuries may occur despite best efforts to prevent them.
