About the event

Hosted by the Trace Institute and Noonautics, this intimate gathering brings together Donald Hoffman and Andrew Gallimore for a live conversation exploring consciousness, psychedelics, perception, and the nature of reality.

The discussion will examine how new mathematical models of consciousness and extended-state DMT research may help create a scientific framework for studying altered states and human experience.

Donald Hoffman, bestselling author of The Case Against Reality, is known for his groundbreaking Interface Theory of Perception, which argues that humans do not perceive objective reality directly, but through perceptual interfaces shaped by evolution. Andrew Gallimore, author of Death by Astonishment, is a leading psychedelic researcher whose work explores DMT, non-ordinary states, and the architecture of consciousness.

Together, Hoffman and Gallimore will explore the intersection of neuroscience, psychedelics, mathematics, and the limits of human perception through a live long-form discussion followed by audience Q&A.

Space is extremely limited. A livestream recording will be made available shortly after the event for registered guests unable to attend in person.

About Trace Institute

https://www.instagram.com/thetraceinstitute

The Trace Institute is a non-profit research organization with a mission to build a science of reality based on mathematical modeling of conscious observers. Founder and Scientific Director Donald D. Hoffman is Professor Emeritus at the University of California-Irvine, who with colleagues developed the interface theory of perception, conscious agent theory, and the trace logic of conscious realism, among the first observer-based models of nature.

About Noonautics

https://noonautics.org

The Noonautics Project is a research and exploration initiative investigating the intersection of psychedelics, consciousness, neuroscience, and the nature of reality. Inspired in part by the work of Dr. Andrew Gallimore and Dr. Rick Strassman, Noonautics explores altered states as potential frontiers for scientific discovery, cognitive exploration, and new models of mind.
