Scottish Cipher Cracking Competition

​This is the Scottish Cipher Cracking Competition. Only teachers can register their classes for this, and we will be in contact with the details of how to run within a class.

Each Computer Science teacher can hold a cipher challenge within their classroom time. The challenge runs for around one hour and involves cracking ciphers. The best score will go forward to represent the School in a final to be held in the Computer Science Christmas lecture in Edinburgh on 17 December 2025. The deadline for the challenge is 2 December 2025, and teachers can organise a challenge to run in their class before then, and then report on the winner from their class.
