​An evening of moderated conversation, hosted in a private home. ~Ten people, dinner, two hours.

​Online, we talk to machines or at each other. Here, we talk with each other.

​The evening

​Start 7pm, wrap by 9, out the door by 10 latest. Dinner is shared and vegetarian. Phones off. Off the record, always.

​Three simple rules

​01 — Listen. It starts here. Really listening, not planning your reply. Being listened to well makes people speak more honestly — which makes the next rule possible.

​02 — Tell your story. Say I, not you. The moment it becomes "you know how everyone…" it stops being a story and becomes a theory. Tell the deep version — it's less awkward than you think.

​03 — Open doors for others. End your turn with a doorknob: a detail, a loose thread, a question the next person can grab. Your story becomes their doorway in.
