About Event
This is an opportunity for you to make a difference in the world! Come and learn how the Buddha Institute is eliminating poverty in India through social entrepreneurship: possibly the most capital efficient method to eliminate poverty sustainably.
Ved Arya, the founder of the Buddha Institute, will talk about how the institute helps social entrepreneurs (Buddha Fellows) create employment for the poor by establishing for profit companies (two examples are Farmveda and Heart in Hills). Two of the Buddha Fellows, K. Madhu and C. Kalyani, will share their experience and the impact their enterprises are creating.
Your Tan (time), Man (mind), or Dhan (money) can help create the ecosystem that social entrepreneurs need to change the world.
