はじめに
生成AIの急速な普及により、スタートアップを取り巻く投資環境と事業環境は、かつてない規模とスピードで変貌しています。この新しい環境下において、スタートアップとの価値創造を望む企業は根底から戦略を「Rethink」、 再考する必要があります。
今後、日本企業はスタートアップとの関係をどう築いていけば良いのでしょうか？どの領域にどのタイミングで、どのような形で関わるべきなのでしょうか？
第1回となる本イベントでは、日本とシリコンバレーを拠点にベンチャーと日本の大企業をつなぎ、大企業の変革に貢献するWiL代表の伊佐山 元を聞き手に、SV AngelでAnthropic、OpenAI、Databricksなどを投資先に持つAshvin Bachireddy氏をお迎えし、AI時代における日本企業のスタートアップ投資と協業戦略の核心に迫ります。当日は以下のテーマについて、対談を通じて深堀りします。

SV Angelは、2009年にRon ConwayやDavid Leeなどの有名エンジェル投資家によって設立された老舗ベンチャーキャピタル。OpenAI・Anthropic・Databricks・HarveyAIなど、AI時代を代表するスタートアップへの投資をリード。Ashvin氏は、同社のマネージング・パートナーとしてグロースファンドを率いており、Forbes Midas Listに6年連続（2021〜2026年）選出。
伊佐山 元（Gen Isayama）
WiL（World Innovation Lab）, General Partner & CEO
1997年東京大学法学部卒業後、日本興業銀行に入行。法人営業、及び市場業務に従事。2001年よりスタンフォード大学ビジネススクールに留学。2003年より、米大手ベンチャーキャピタルであるDCMにてパートナーとして、インターネットメディア、モバイル、コンシューマーサービス分野への投資を担当。シリコンバレーと日本を中心に、ベンチャー企業の発掘と育成に注力。2013年にWiLを創業。

Introduction
The rapid proliferation of generative AI is transforming the startup investment and business landscape at an unprecedented scale and speed. In this new environment, companies seeking to create value with startups must fundamentally "Rethink" their strategies from the ground up.
How should Japanese corporations build relationships with startups going forward? In which areas, at what timing, and in what form should they engage?
For this inaugural event, WiL CEO Gen Isayama — who bridges the venture and Japanese corporate worlds from his base across Silicon Valley and Japan — will host a fireside chat with Ashvin Bachireddy of SV Angel, whose portfolio includes Anthropic, OpenAI, and Databricks, to get to the heart of startup investment and collaboration strategy for Japanese corporations in the AI era. Ashvin Bachireddy SV Angel, Managing Partner – Growth
SV Angel is a storied venture capital firm founded in 2009 by prominent angel investors including Ron Conway and David Lee. The firm has led investments in companies that define the AI era, including OpenAI, Anthropic, Databricks, and HarveyAI. Ashvin serves as Managing Partner leading the firm's Growth Fund, and has been named to the Forbes Midas List for six consecutive years (2021–2026).
Gen Isayama WiL (World Innovation Lab), General Partner & CEO
After graduating from the University of Tokyo's Faculty of Law in 1997, Gen joined the Industrial Bank of Japan (now Mizuho Financial Group), where he worked in corporate banking and capital markets. In 2001, he enrolled at Stanford Graduate School of Business. From 2003, he served as a Partner at DCM, a leading U.S. venture capital firm, focusing on investments in internet media, mobile, and consumer services, with an emphasis on identifying and nurturing startups across Silicon Valley and Japan. He founded WiL in 2013.
