About the speaker:
Thomas Plötzeneder is managing partner of Gehrer Plötzeneder DDWS Corporate Advisors since October 2005. a boutique consulting firm that deals with brand processes and potential, strategic external and internal communication as well as change management processes.
Following their own consulting approach, they think that behind every really successful business initiative stands an ideational conception of how something should be in future. A commitment, by one or more personalities, to do what really matters to them, a commitment brought to fruition in the form of a business venture. Gehrer Plötzeneder DDWS has developed its own method that has been used successfully for over 10 years.
Thomas was formerly CEO of the Lowe GGK Vienna advertising agency and a board member of Lowe GGK Holding AG. In that position, he was the first in Eastern Europe to build a network of integrated communication agencies in Warsaw, Prague, Budapest, Bratislava, Moscow, Kyiv, Ljubljana, Zagreb, Bucharest and Sofia. A keen understanding of client needs, and the ability to create business solutions outside the scope of traditional advertising helped him return Lowe GGK Vienna to the top of domestic agency rankings.
He has served as the General Manager Europe of Lowe and Partners Worldwide, worked as an ad man for Ogilvy & Mather and began his career as marketing manager for the former AZ newspaper.
Thomas graduated from Vienna’s University of Economics and Business Administration and is an alumnus of The Wharton School’s Advanced Management Program.
Since June 2022 he is honorary president of ICEP (Inspiring Corporation Empowering People). ICEP is an Austrian association that has been involved in development cooperation for over 25 years with focus on Africa and Latin America.
