Rogaland Toastmasters Meeting - Money Talks — The Conversation We Avoid
Most of us can say what we earn and almost nothing else about our money — not where it actually goes on a Friday, not the habit we keep meaning to fix, not the thing we're quietly anxious about. This meeting is ninety minutes of saying that kind of thing out loud, on purpose, in front of people.
A Toastmasters® meeting runs on a simple mechanic: members give prepared speeches, each one gets a live evaluation two minutes after it ends, and then Table Topics® hands everyone a question they've never seen and one to two minutes to answer it. Everything is timed. Nothing is rehearsed twice.
This time the whole evening points at money habits — the speeches, the Table Topics® questions, the Word of the Day. Expect honest and practical rather than theoretical: what people actually do with money, what changed when they changed it.
💬 No financial advice, no products, nobody selling anything. Just people talking about a subject they usually don't.
🎤 Guests attend free and pick their own level — watch quietly, or take a Table Topics® question. Nobody is called on unwillingly, and nobody is asked to disclose a number.
