Dorothy Nanyan Li
Dorothy holds the prestigious position of Chief Technology Officer (CTO) at Convoy, where she provides strategic guidance and supervision to Convoy's Product and Engineering group, shaping the technological landscape and driving innovation within the company. With a remarkable career background, Dorothy has made significant contributions, exemplified by her leadership roles at Amazon. In her most recent capacity as Vice President of BI and Analytics at AWS, she played a pivotal role in refining and advancing Amazon's e-commerce platform. Over her impressive 20-year tenure at Amazon, Dorothy was instrumental in crafting products that made a tangible impact on customers worldwide, including the groundbreaking launches of Amazon Prime and Kindle. Her focus on data analytics and BI at AWS further showcased her expertise and dedication to cutting-edge technology. Dorothy earned her Bachelor of Science degree from Brigham Young University and pursued additional studies at Shanghai International Studies University, enhancing her global perspective and knowledge base.
Hsiao-Wuen Hon
Dr. Hsiao-Wuen Hon, a Microsoft corporate vice president, and Ambarella board member since 1995, played a pivotal role in founding and elevating Microsoft Research Asia into a globally recognized research lab, earning the distinction of "the hottest computer lab in the world" by MIT Technology Review. As a visionary leader, he oversaw Microsoft’s Asia-Pacific R&D Group from 2014 to 2022, shaping research strategies and fostering academic partnerships. Dr. Hon's expertise in speech technology acknowledged through IEEE Fellowship and numerous patents, shines through his 120+ technical papers and a foundational textbook on Spoken Language Processing. Prior to Microsoft, he led Apple's Chinese Dictation Kit R&D and contributed significantly to the development of Microsoft's search products (Bing) in the Asia-Pacific region during his tenure at Microsoft Search Technology Center from 2005 to 2007.
Eric Passmore
Eric Passmore, Director of Engineering at EOS, a pioneering Layer One Blockchain company, is a serial entrepreneur with a significant footprint in cloud computing, media, and publishing sectors. With a corporate background that includes executive positions at major entities like Microsoft and Time Warner (now Discovery), Eric's expertise in software management and engineering is evident.
