Antibody Therapeutics: From Inception to New Horizons
Antibody therapeutics have transformed both biotechnology and clinical medicine; and few places have shaped that story more than Cambridge.
Nucleate UK is proud to bring together two exceptional founders to trace the arc of this field: from the earliest breakthroughs to building companies in today's funding landscape.
Dr John McCafferty co-founded Cambridge Antibody Technology; the world's first human antibody company, its technology later winning the Nobel Prize. John has since co-founded two other antibody companies and is a prodigious voice in this space.
Dr Mihriban Tuna is leading Cambridge-based, Immutrin, an antibody therapeutics company that recently raised an oversubscribed Series A to develop their drug for cardiac amyloidosis.
Together, they'll cover the history, the hard lessons, and what it takes to spin out an antibody company today.
Doors open at 17:00, with the fireside chats with our speakers beginning at 17:30. There will then be time to network 18:30 onwards.
