1 Year of Gatherings! Potluck & Social Games
Let’s celebrate a full year of GatheringX the way we started: food, people, and time outside together. Join for our 1-Year Anniversary Potluck with Arab Socials in Mississauga on Saturday, August 2 at 2:00 PM. This is a chill family-friendly afternoon in the park with real food from our own kitchens, games, socialization, and much more.
TL;DR: GatheringX & Arab Socials potluck on Sat Aug 2 @ 1PM, Mississauga park (pin on RSVP). Bring a dish, chair/blanket. Ticket to cover shared supplies. Family friendly; please update RSVP if you can’t come.
Your ticket contribution helps cover:

Schedule (approx.)
• 2:00 PM: Arrivals, check in, drop your dish at the food table, meet people
• 3:00 PM: Potluck opens. Eat, mingle, games on the grass
• 4:00 PM: Social Games - Vendors pop up
• 5:00 PM: Open hangout. More food, casual games, wrap whenever people fade
What to Bring
• A chair or picnic blanket for yourself (park seating is limited)
• A shareable food item enough for 6 to 8 people. Label it: name of dish + dietary notes (halal, vegetarian, contains nuts, spicy, etc.)
• Serving utensil if your dish needs one
• Refillable water bottle. We will have water jugs to top up
• Sunscreen, hat, and your positive spirit

Mississauga park location will be sent to confirmed guests by email and in the Luma reminder messages. Please RSVP so you get the info.
Attendance + Waitlist
If you register and then cannot make it, change your RSVP as soon as you know. We usually have a waitlist and want to offer your spot to someone else. Thanks for being thoughtful.

Bring: Chair/blanket, a dish for 6‑8 people (label ingredients), refillable bottle (in case the weather is hot), good vibes
Ticket covers: plates, cutlery, cups, water, napkins, table covers, trash bags, BBQ fuel, ice, sanitizer, first‑aid top‑up
Flow: 2 PM arrivals ▸ 3 PM eat ▸ 4 PM games/vendor pop‑ups ▸ open hangout till close
