Some of the best friendships start over a chessboard and a good laugh.
***No chess experience needed. Beginners are genuinely welcome, and someone will happily teach you.***
This is a Medium sized, laid back afternoon built around meeting cool people over some chess games. Come play a few games, meet people who actually share your interests, and stay for the kind of easy conversation that turns strangers into friends.
Here’s what the afternoon looks like:
🤝 Cool Conversations — A medium sized, curated group so it’s easy to actually talk to people, not a crowd you get lost in
❄️ A/C + Tables/Seats - A reserved space to talk and play. Cold A/C and our own section of tables, zero Miami heat.
♟️ Chess and games — Casual chess games just like any other chess meetup, all skill levels welcome
🧠 Chess Trivia and Activities - A fun mix of activities from Chess Trivia to Hand and Brain and even IRL puzzle solving challenges. (Activities are optional and we will teach you how to play if you don’t know how)
🍴 Food and drinks — We will have small finger bites from the restaurant and water❕❕Highly encouraged to order something small to eat at venue so we can continue to host events here ❕❕
🎶 Music — a relaxed soundtrack to keep the vibe easy. Not too soft not too loud.
🏆 Small prizes — a few little wins up for grabs, just for fun
At The End:
You’ll walk in not knowing anyone and leave with a few people worth seeing again.
There will be a 2-3 minute post event survey that is also very important. Everyone who fills this out will get a $10 discount code for the next event 💸💸💸. This will help us make the next event even better!
