You know that scene in Ratatouille? The critic takes one bite, and suddenly he’s a little boy again, back in his mother’s kitchen.
We all have that dish.
For us, two Hongkongers in Paris, it’s hotpot. The meal where nobody rushes, everybody cooks, and the stories come out between rounds.
So we’re setting the table. One evening, 12 seats, one pot in the middle, and the food memories we forgot we had.
What to expect:
We’ll gather around the hotpot, cook together, and share stories between bites. Sarah will prepare everything we need for the hotpot; Joei will guide the evening with prompts to help the memories come out: the dishes, the kitchens, the people, and the moments that shaped us.
It’s not a workshop. Share as much or as little as you like. Just come hungry and curious.
