End Of Fall Baking Picnic 🍪🍁
A free event for NYC bakers to get together to share each others’ baking creations, make new friends, and celebrate the end of fall!
Everyone attending the event should bring a homemade baked good, in addition to the supplies listed below. Feel free to bring whatever kind of baked good you’d like, whether it’s something festive for the fall or just your favorite thing to make. I will make a list of what everyone is bringing so that we don’t have multiples of the same thing.
In addition to your baked good, please bring:
1. A box/container for your bake.
2. Any necessary serving materials. Note that knives are not allowed in Central Park.
3. A label with the name of your bake and a list of allergens.
4. A picnic blanket to sit on and serve. While I reserved a part of the park with picnic tables, we’re not guaranteed access to them, so please come ready with a picnic blanket!
I will bring plastic plates and utensils for everyone to try each other’s baked goods, though if you would like to bring your own to promote your brand, that is of course welcome!
Keep in mind that this is a free event for sharing baked goods, and not for sale/vending (which, as mentioned below, is not allowed in the park).
Please also note the following rules given to me from the Parks Department:
1. Do not bring speakers or play amplified music.
2. Do not bring your own tables, chairs, tents, or set-up umbrellas.
3. Do not bring balloons.
4. Do not attach any banners or signs to park property or trees, or impale them in the ground.
5. Do not bring any sterno or use open flames.
6. Do not bring any alcohol and do not smoke.
7. Do not sell/vend any items at the event.
Note that this event is not affiliated with the Cake Picnic brand and is smaller-scale community potluck that does not involve ticket sales.
