Shut Up and Write: a co-writing session
Writing doesn't have to be a solitary struggle. It can be a shared & social struggle.
Would you like some self-inflicted writing accountability and vague social pressure? Would you like to set aside some dedicated time to start that draft you are thinking about, finish a blog post or edit your book?
Come to this event. After a brief introduction, we set a timer for 1h 30m — and then we write in silence until the timer rings. Afterwards, we socialise.
The idea for this event is ̶s̶h̶a̶m̶e̶l̶e̶s̶s̶l̶y̶ ̶s̶t̶o̶l̶e̶n̶ inspired by https://www.shutupwrite.com/ .
The venue
The venue is the London Night Cafe — a cozy retrofuturistic cafe where you pay £7 to enter and get unlimited tea and coffee.
For this event we get the entire library for the first floor where we'll be able to write in a quiet atmosphere. However, if you wanted to chat to someone, you are welcome to go to downstairs to one of the two floors which are open to public. Feel free to return once you are done.
After the event you are welcome to stay in the café until its closing time, 3 AM.
