About Event

Ink & Switch's mission is to help computers become better tools for thought. We believe that the promise of computers as "intelligence amplifiers" or "bicycles for the mind" remains unfullfilled.

Our work has led us into collaborations with journalists, astronomers, teachers, and many other folk around the world, all of whom are doing the work that breaks new ground, drives society forward, and educates the public.

We'll share a few fun examples of things we've done in the past or are working on, and plan to invite a few other folks to share their work as well. This isn't the place for your product pitch, it's a chance to share a war story, or a prototype, or to gush about something you love.

After that, we'll turn off the screens and set out some food and drinks so we can all get to know one another better. Hope to see you there.

Venue Provided by ARIA

Thank you to the Advanced Research & Inventions Agency (ARIA) for hosting us in their offices. Ink & Switch is part of the Safeguarded AI Programme.

ARIA funds breakthrough R&D in underexplored areas to catalyse new paths to prosperity for the UK and the world. They empower scientists and engineers to pursue research that is too speculative, too hard, or too interdisciplinary to pursue elsewhere. More on their about page »
