Join us in the inaugural Impactful women’s networking event in Melbourne, connecting and celebrating women striving to drive impact through investments.
Suzanne Tavill (Global Head of Responsible Investing at Stepstone), Saskia Kort-Chick (Director of Stewardship and Corporate Governance, Future Fund), Daniela Jaramillo (Head of Sustainability Solutions) & Anna Sayer (Founder at Sustainable Alpha) have collaborated to organise this event and bring together this remarkable group of women.
For this first event, we are joined by two special guests talking about two very different parts of Women's Health.
Georgia Verry is the founder and CEO Conscious Combat Club (CCC), a Melbournian charity and social enterprise disrupting gender-based violence through trauma-informed martial arts programs for women and gender-diverse people. For the past 6 years she has led CCC to deliver more than 800 classes for over 250 women with lived experience of violence.
Robyn Norton AO, Co-Chair of the Center for sex gender equity in health and medicine (CSGEHM) will be doing a short presentation about the recently launched paper: Closing the Gender Health Gap: The Investment Case and Australia’s Opportunity.

Speaker Biographies
Georgia Verry, Founder and CEO of Conscious Combat Club.
Georgia is an exercise scientist specializing in trauma recovery and an ex-professional fighter with 20 years of experience across martial arts. In 2025 Georgia was awarded the Pride in Sport Inclusive Coach of the Year for her work employing an intersectional framework, with a particular focus on increasing access for LGBTIQA+ women, women experiencing financial barriers and women with disabilities. Her leadership has supported the Conscious Combat Club to grow from an at-home start-up to a full-time dedicated trauma-informed martial arts and movement studio, with the aim to serve as a Melbourne-first recovery hub for women healing from violence.
Robyn Norton AO: Founding Director, The George Institute for Global Health

Robyn has had a long-standing commitment to improving the health of women and girls and co-established The George Institute’s Global Women’s Health Program. This program of work takes a life course approach to addressing the leading causes of death and disability for women and girls, especially non-communicable diseases, and injuries. Robyn currently co-leads work in both Australia and the UK focused on the development of policies to ensure increased representation of women and girls as participants in health and medical research, and the disaggregation of data by sex and gender. This work led to the establishment of Australia’s first Centre for Sex and Gender Equity in Health and Medicine in March 2024, in partnership with the Australian Human Rights Institute at UNSW and Deakin University.
Closing the Gender Health Gap: The Investment Case and Australia’s Opportunity - The gender health gap is a major underfunded opportunity, driven by systemic biases in research, data, and investment. Closing it could unlock significant economic value globally and in Australia. The paper highlights investment opportunities, key barriers such as data gaps and funding constraints, and actions needed to drive innovation, improve outcomes, and accelerate growth. This will be highly relevant for any fans of the book by Caroline Criado Perez: Invisible Women.
