A Live Speech Reading of "The Duties of American Citizenship" by Teddy Roosevelt
Most people know "The Man in the Arena" speech - but there is another, differently invigorating speech delivered by Teddy Roosevelt on January 26, 1893, before the Liberal Club of Buffalo, NY.
"Begin with the little thing, and do not expect to accomplish anything without an effort...if you keep on attending and try to form associations with other men whom you meet at the political gatherings, or whom you can persuade to attend them, you will very soon find yourself a weight."
There is no better time to read aloud the words of one of our greatest leaders and we will come together as a group to discuss what they mean to you, to us, and our collective society of New Yorkers and Americans.
As always, it's going to be a good time 🫎
