VYOMA: Open Source, Multilingual, Handheld AI Innovation Challenge 2026

​This launch event marks the introduction of VYOMA, an innovation challenge organised by Bhashini in collaboration with Current AI. Centred around a co-developed reference device, the challenge aims to support the development of inclusive, multilingual AI solutions that address accessibility, linguistic diversity, digital literacy, and low-connectivity constraints.

​The event on 1 June 2026 will outline the challenge framework, participation details, and opportunities for developers, researchers, and innovators to build AI systems for practical deployment.

​VYOMA brings together Bhashini’s multilingual AI infrastructure and Current AI’s expertise in open-source, human-centric technologies, with Kalpa Impact as the knowledge and implementation partner.
