Speak up dear! Leadership Presence for Women
Presenting yourself in front of or within a group is a great way to boost your professional visibility. But for women, it's a balancing act. Come across as too dominant, and you're seen as unlikable. Be too nice, and you're not taken seriously.
In this evening lecture by Nobbe Mieras, we dive into perception and the art of personal presentation. How do others see you, how do your background, gender and appearance shape that image, and can you change the frame?
What you'll take away
How the perception of warmth and competence works, and which levers you can pull to change the image others have of you
The latest data on perception in the Dutch workplace, drawn from research by Princeton University and Utrecht University that Nobbe Mieras is involved in
Insight into what holds you back from being visible and promoting yourself -An understanding of backlash and how to reduce its impact
Practice presenting your achievements smartly (self-promotion) -Tools to invest in 'warmth' as well as competence
An engaging mix of theory, examples and exercises, giving you new insights and skills in perception, personal branding and self-management. The session will be held in English unless there are Dutch speaking participants only.
