CERT

​It is broken up into 3 days: 8 hour, 8 hour, 5 hours

Open to ALL Roosevelt students (and non-club members welcome too—bring your friends!) age 16+.

What You Do (The Hands-On Action):

• ​🧯 Extinguish Real Fires: Put on safety gear and operate a fire extinguisher to put out a live, controlled propane fire.

• ​🏗️ Search & Rescue: Learn tactical room sweeps, search markings, and how to carry injured victims out of damaged structures using lever bars and wooden blocks (cribbing).

• ​🩹 Disaster Medicine: Practice battlefield-style triage, applying tourniquets, chest seals, pressure bandages, and treating severe shock.

• ​📻 Radio & Command: Use two-way radios and run a simulated disaster response team like actual first responders.

​Why Members Should Join:

• ​📄 Official Certification: Earn an official FEMA / C&C Honolulu CERT completion credential.
