Community Scream For Moms And Default Parents - Holidaze Edition
Kids, School, Work, Partners, Snap Cuts, Fa$cism, War, Paperwork, Scheduling, The State of the World...
It's a lot for parents at this time of year. Especially for moms and default/single parents. So let’s let out some steam in community.
~Read about it in the Philly Inquirer here~
For an extra dose of village-ing: Join us after the scream for coffee down the street at Trung Nguyen Legend Philly (113 Washington Ave).
How it works: We'll meet at the Washington Ave entrance to the bike path at Washington and Columbus Aves on the river side then walk to Washington Pier. When we get there, we'll let out our frustration all at the same time for about 30 seconds (x3). We'll do intros to each other before the screaming and then regroup after if you want to. Do what works for you.
Who are you and why are you doing this? I am a mom and I am doing this 90% for myself and also because I think other parents must need it, too. I am also working on building a more intentional village so that parents can have more structure around giving and receiving help from each other. IRL events are part of that. If you'd like to learn more you can fill out the Village survey here or check out this website (and follow along on social media).
Consider bringing:
Water
A list of the things you want to scream about
A journal/pen
*Please note there may be photos taken at this event. If you do not wish to be photographed, you will have an opportunity to tell us at the scream or you can reach out to Rachel via this page. Thank you.
