About Event

Join Schuylkill Banks and Bird Philly for a free, guided bird walk on the Schuylkill River Trail in Philadelphia.

Learn about local birds and explore the trail. No birding experience necessary!

Meet at the parking lot on the Bartram's Mile section of the trail near the main entrance of Bartram's Garden (at the meadow). We will walk up to a mile, stopping frequently. You can get to this section of the trail via bike, car, or public transit. There are public bathrooms available at Bartram's Garden.

Advance registration is not required to attend, but RSVPing helps us to get a sense of how many people are coming.

No binoculars? No worries! Birding backpacks with binoculars and field guides can be borrowed at the following Philly libraries: Andorra, Cobbs Creek, Cecil B. Moore, Chestnut Hill, Eastwick, Falls of Schuylkill, Fishtown, Fox Chase, Greater Olney, Independence Library, Logan, Lovett Memorial, Northeast Regional, Oak Lane, Parkway Central, Richmond, South Philly, Torresdale, West Philadelphia Regional, and Widener.
