Sound Bath: Find Your Ground @ The Maqam Centre
Find your ground with SŵnBath - a sound bath experience rooted in rest and reconnection.
What is SŵnBath?
In a world that rarely stops, most of us are running on empty - SŵnBath is the pause your body has been asking for. Founded by Pembrokeshire-born actor Kyle Jennings, each sessions is inspired by the Welsh coastline he grew up on. SŵnBath is a practice built on the belief that deep rest is something everyone deserves access to, as well as presence being a practice you must return to.
Each session draws you into an atmosphere of calm and reflection. A guided meditation anchors you into the space, whilst live instruments such as crystal singing bowls, chimes and drums wash over you in waves of deep, restorative sound. The frequencies and vibrations of the instruments guide your body into its natural 'rest and digest' state - relieving tension and giving your nervous system the space to regulate.
Mostly, SŵnBath is an opportunity to slow down, focus on your wellbeing and will leave you feeling more present, relaxed, and connected to yourself.
Sessions are open to everyone - no prior knowledge or experience is needed to experience the healing effects of sound baths. Just show up, lie down, and let the sound do the work.
Session Information
The session first begins with an essential oil to anchor your senses into the session.
You will then be invited to get comfortable lying down on the mat and then begin with a short guided meditation, while live instruments - such as crystal singing bowls, drums and chimes - are played over you, inviting your body to relax.
The session ends with a slow and gentle guided wake up with time afterwards to talk to Kyle about the experience and reflect.
