Dreaming into the future of CIPC
This is a call out to all those who would like to be part of shaping what CIPC becomes beyond 2026.
Whether you’ve been deeply involved so far, watched from the sidelines, or recently joined - if you care about the community of people practicing collective imagination - then this is for you!
Context
As we shared at the beginning of the year, JRF, our main funder for the last 4 years, has told us they won’t be able to continue supporting CIPC beyond 2026. So this is our last year in the current form.
There are many options for what could happen next, for example:
We find another funder and continue as we have been
We find another funder and change how we’ve been working
We find a new institutional home like a university or foundation
We don’t find further funding and things continue with a DIY approach
We don’t find further funding and we support the community to end well and release the insight and energy to other places where it is needed
And probably more options we haven’t seen yet…
The value of CIPC
It strikes us that there are many aspects of CIPC that are incredibly valuable. The relationships and infrastructure that has been built. The emerging body of work in the seed library. The learning about (seed) funding collective imagination practice. The shared belief that imagination is a vital part of creating the worlds we want to see. And there might be other aspects of CIPC that feel important to you too. It feels worth investing some creative, collaborative time to make the most of all of these valuable aspects.
Conversation series
We would like to invite you to a conversation series exploring these future possibilities. Further dates TBC based on where the conversation goes, but to begin with, we’ll be exploring:
How could the work of CIPC be resourced going forwards?
How would you love to see CIPC change and adapt? What could it become?
Partnerships and 'new homes': where could CIPC sit in the ecosystem?
Come with ideas, or simply come ready to think creatively with others in the community.
