​​Wow! Kyla Mitsunaga's first-ever All-Asian Women Family Constellation workshop just blew my mind! I went in thinking I'd learn a little about myself, but came out transformed.

​​Imagine this - a room of Asian women, each carrying generations of stories in our DNA (and yes, some tiger mom expectations in our emotional baggage). Suddenly, I saw myself differently - like finding the perfect lighting, but for my soul.

​​The real magic happened when I unpacked my Filipina-Spanish-Chinese heritage - like opening a balikbayan box I'd ignored since moving here at age three. I realized I'd been competing in the assimilation Olympics all this time (spoiler: there's no medal for that!).

​​My heart broke when a workshop sister shared how she stayed quiet because of her English. We've all second-guessed every word like it's linguistic Jenga.

​​But in this space, it was safe to just be ourselves without having to explain where I'm "really" from or why I brought a "funny-smelling and weird looking" lunch box with foiled spam and rice. Just authentic Asian women sharing our stories - our herStories.

​​It felt like finding a missing piece of myself - like tasting perfect ube halaya after years of craving that sweet purple goodness from childhood. Pure joy!

​​Kyla Mitsunaga is a certified Family Constellations facilitator and Theta Healing practitioner and trainer, matcha latte lover, and has tried 25 or so different healing modalities along her own healing journey that took her around the globe. She is passionate about helping her clesties (client-turned-besties) heal at the deepest levels through her family constellations intensive retreats and in-person family constellations
