Matthew Pittinsky is an education technology entrepreneur who has scaled two software companies north of $100m in ARR.
Matthew was CEO of Parchment, used by tens of millions of students each year. Parchment grew to over $120 million in ARR and was acquired by Instructure in 2023. He was also the former co-founder, CEO and Executive Chairman of Blackboard, the original learning management system. He led Blackboard through it's 2004 IPO and eventual take private sale to Providence Equity in 2010 when Blackboard reached $450mm of revenues.
Matthew holds a B.S. in Political Science from American University, Ed.M. in Education Policy from Harvard University Graduate School of Education and a Ph.D. in Sociology of Education from Teachers College, Columbia University.
