About Event

What do astronauts and refugees have in common?

Courage. Survival. New worlds. Going into the Unknown. Both navigate uncharted territories, guided by a shared hope for a new future.

In Farsi, “Yaganagi” means to unite around our shared humanity and Oneness.

We are deeply honored to invite you to a meaningful Voyaj Dinner Experience in Kent, Washington. Together, we will embark on a journey of deep connection, curiosity, and belonging, alongside community members—newly arrived and long-time residents.

Chris Sembroski, a citizen astronaut from the first all-civilian Inspiration4 space mission, will share his remarkable experience orbiting the Earth and his newfound discovery of the profoundly universal interconnectedness of all life, as he witnessed over 45 sunrises and sunsets in just 3 days.

This special experience is hosted in collaboration with Voyaj, World Relief, and Blue Origin’s Club for the Future. We come together to inspire dynamic experiences and foster friendships in the heart of Kent. We welcome new refugees who are rebuilding their lives, and invite all of you to share in the warmth of food and stories that reflect our common humanity.

Picture a circle of extraordinary people, seated together on a beautiful rug, surrounded by pillows and a traditional Moroccan tea set—gathered in the spirit of connection. We need your presence to make this community whole, to weave the fabric of oneness, in the spirit of Yaganagi.

We will savor organic, locally sourced international cuisine inspired by the refugees' home countries, served family-style and prepared by Chef Maya Amadi, with music by multi-instrumental Egyptian artist Ahmed Ragab.

  • Voyaj's mission is to connect like-hearted people through shared experiences, expanding perspectives and deepening understanding for a more peaceful world.

  • World Relief’s mission is to respond boldly to the world’s greatest crises, envisioning thriving, welcoming communities where families flourish, and all people experience restorative relationships with God, neighbors, and the Earth.

  • Blue Origin’s Club for the Future works to inspire and mobilize future generations to pursue careers in STEAM, for the benefit of Earth, through space-focused lessons, events, and global ambassador programs.
