โMeet here
โWe use the west entrance on Alec Rd. The Dean Park Rd gate closes to vehicles from mid-November to mid-March, so Alec Rd is the way in. Turn north off West Saanich Rd onto Alec Rd and follow it to the end, about three minutes. Park along the lower or west side of the road near #8525, by the BC Parks map sign. The drive from downtown takes about 30 minutes.
โThe route runs through old-growth forest and reaches the Pickles Bluff viewpoint.
โBring
โWear decent shoes. Bring water, layers for the weather, and any snacks you want. Trails around Victoria can get muddy and slippery from October through December.
โWe post weather, route, and access changes before each hike in the Tenfold community Discord. If you register and cannot make it, please update your RSVP so nobody waits for you in the parking lot.
โTouch Grass is Tenfold's Sunday hike series. Anyone is welcome.
โThis is a community-organized hike. There is no guide and no outdoor program. Know your limits and look after yourself and each other.
