Sara(h)’s of Camberville
A gathering with just two requirements:
Your name is Sarah or Sara.
You live in Somerville or Cambridge, MA.
We'll gather for conversation, connection, and a statistically improbable number of identical name tags.
There will be prompts. There will be stories. There may be debates about the H. Most importantly, there will be a chance to meet neighbors you'd never otherwise meet.
What to Expect
We'll talk about our favorite parts of being named Sarah, compare notes on life with (or without) an H, and explore life's important questions like:
What's your relationship with the phrase "Sarah with an H" (or "Sara without an H")?
Do Sarahs and Saras have different personalities?
How often does a barista get your name wrong?
What happens when a room full of people share the same name?
What to bring
A small artifact that tells us something about you — a photo, ticket stub, book, object, keepsake, or anything with a story behind it. You'll have a chance to share what makes it special to you.
All Sarahs and Saras are welcome. Come ready to chat, connect, and enjoy the rare experience of not worrying whether you'll remember someone's name five minutes after meeting them.
Location TBD, but somewhere in Somerville. Capping this event at 15 Sara(h)s to keep it intimate.
About your host:
Originally from Southern California, Sarah has lived in Somerville for the past 2.5 years. Before that, she spent nearly a decade in New York City.
She works in community building and loves creating spaces for people to connect in meaningful ways. Lately, she's been on a mission to bring more fun and play into her life — which is exactly how this gathering came to be.
After all, why shouldn't a bunch of Sara(h)s get together just because they're named Sara(h)?
