Empire Open Math Contest 2026 | NYC | Math Olympiad for All Ages

​The Empire Open Math Contest is an olympiad-style math competition open to participants of all ages. Hosted by NYC Math, a nonprofit dedicated to building a vibrant math community in New York City, this contest is designed to make the joy and challenge of mathematical problem-solving accessible to everyone. Whether this is your first math contest or you have years of olympiad experience, there's a place for you here.

​Event details:

• ​EOMC2026 will take place on June 20, 2026 at 1pm. Contestants are encouraged to arrive 15-20 minutes early. Light refreshments will be served.

• ​This event will feature 2 exams - Casual and Competitive.

• ​Each exam will feature 15 problems and participants will have 2 hours to complete them.

• ​Scoring:

  • ​Each problem will be worth an equal number of points. For tiebreaks, the contestant who finished faster will win.

​Who we are:

• ​NYC Math is a non-profit focused on creating more opportunities for people to get excited about math.

​NOTE: Contestants aged 17 and younger must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.
