TGC Full Moon hike & Night Birding

​Come spend the evening under the full moon with TGC for a lively night hike and birding walk along the Gabrielino Trail near the Arroyo Seco. We’ll gather before sunset, then head out as the sky darkens and the moon takes over. Expect a fun evening of moonlit trail time with plenty of looking up, listening closely, and seeing what stirs after dark.

​We’ll be keeping an eye out for owls, hawks settling in for the night, night herons, bats, and any other nighttime critters that decide to make an appearance. Bring a headlamp or flashlight, but be ready to use it sparingly so your eyes can adjust and you can enjoy the trail by moonlight. If you’ve ever wanted to howl at the moon with a group of curious humans, this is your night.
