An RSVP does not guarantee a Mahjong seat. Tables are limited and play is first come, first served.
Enjoy a ramen + drink during lunch to receive a priority wristband for Mahjong play from 2–5 PM. Wristband holders will be seated as tables become available.
Public play opens from 3–5 PM for guests without a wristband, with a table minimum spend and subject to availability.
If we aren’t able to get you into a game that afternoon, keep your wristband — we’ll honor it for priority play at the next Lunch Mahjong.

House of Sobo presents an afternoon of food, conversation, and mahjong with Auntie Linda of The Dragon Mahjong Club.
Whether you’ve never touched a tile or you’ve been playing for years, come have lunch, learn a few things from Auntie Linda, and stay for a game.
This isn’t a tournament or a formal class. Come with friends or come on your own. We’ll help you find a table.
At House of Sobo, food is only one way we share our stories. This is another way to gather around the table.
HOW IT WORKS
LUNCH · 11:30 AM–3 PM
Have a ramen + drink during lunch and receive a Mahjong wristband for priority play.
Come early — gameplay begins at 2 PM and Mahjong seating is limited.
PRIORITY PLAY · 2–3 PM
Wristband holders get first access to the Mahjong tables.
We’ll use timed sessions so more guests get a chance to play. When your session ends, you can rejoin the waitlist if space is available.
PUBLIC PLAY · 3–5 PM
Didn't join us for lunch?
Beginning at 3 PM, remaining tables open for public play with a minimum food + drink spend per table. No wristband required.
All Mahjong seating is first come, first served and subject to availability.
NEVER PLAYED?
Perfectly fine.
Auntie Linda will be around the tables teaching the basics, sharing a few stories, and helping new players get into a game.
Experienced players are welcome too.
GUESS THE TILE
Dining in with us? Everyone gets a chance to play.
No peeking. Feel the tile with your fingers and try to call it like the pros.
Guess correctly and win a prize — including a chance at a $50 Sobo gift card.
SPECIAL MAHJONG BITES
For this afternoon only, we’ll also have a small selection of special Mahjong bites alongside our regular ramen menu.
