Swiss Alumni Night NYC
Swissnex and the Consulate General of Switzerland in New York invite current or former affiliates of Swiss universities to join us for evening of music and networking. Connect with entrepreneurs, researchers, innovators, creatives, and fellow alumni who share a connection to Switzerland, and exchange experiences from both sides of the Atlantic.
As a special highlight, guests will experience a live performance by Luca Durán, a Swiss-Colombian sound artist and DJ whose work moves seamlessly between ambient, experimental, and forward-thinking club sounds. Coinciding with the release of his forthcoming album Killing Mariposa, released through the Colombian label TraTraTrax, Durán will present an intimate and immersive live set introducing the album's sonic universe. Inspired by themes of identity, memory, and transformation, the performance draws from a deeply personal sonic world where field recordings, acoustic elements, and analog synthesis converge into an evocative listening experience. Luca is a recipient of the studio residency grant supported by the City of Zurich.
Throughout the evening, guests will enjoy food by Rose Bakery, drinks, and ample opportunities to connect with and expand their network within New York's Swiss community.
The event will take place at the Vitra showroom in Manhattan, an iconic space that reflects Switzerland's longstanding commitment to design, innovation, and creative excellence.
