NeuroNYC Academic Panel + Happy Hour: From AI to Brain Repair and Back
Join NeuroNYC for an evening of big ideas and great company as we explore how AI and neuroscience are coming together to repair the brain. This in-person mixer brings together innovators, researchers, investors, and enthusiasts at the intersection of neuroscience and technology.
When we talk about computers and the brain, we usually mean reading or controlling neural activity. But what if AI could help the brain rebuild itself?
This edition features an academic panel with Roy Maimon, PhD, Assistant Professor of Biomedical Engineering at NYU Tandon, whose lab is working to awaken the brain’s own dormant stem cells to repair damage from neurodegenerative disease. We’ll explore how AI and experimental neuroscience can work together to move from slowing brain disease to actually reversing it. Moderated by Fargol Yeganeh Fathi, Head of Academic Partnerships at NeuroNYC.
