Daniel Theobald is a founder, builder, farmer, and investor focused on turning big ideas into global solutions. He serves as Chairman of The Founders Guild, with a mission to improve financial outcomes and quality of life for those building tomorrow’s enterprises.
He co-founded MassRobotics, a nonprofit and world leader in robotics innovation, and founded Vecna Robotics to transform manufacturing and logistics through autonomous mobile robots and automated guided vehicles. He also founded Mekable, which advises industries on using technology to mechanize and automate their workflows.
At Twisted Fields, his research farm in historic Rancho San Gregorio, California, he explores how automation can help grow better food for more people, more affordably. In 2024, he contributed seed funding to Rotate8, a company developing solar-powered farming robots to support sustainable agriculture and improve farmers’ bottom lines.
He holds 67 granted patents, with more than 30 pending, and has helped bring technologies from early whiteboard concepts into productive industrial and agricultural operations around the world.
